Creme is Back to Granting Interviews Again

Benjamin Creme is currently in America giving public lectures and making other public appearances. Creme also has some interviews that will broadcast in the coming days. He has a prerecorded interview that will air on an Internet radio station July 31 at 10PM/ET. If you are curious about listening, you will be able to hear the show at the following link The interview most likely is going to be about aliens/UFOs since that is the main focus of the Internet radio show.

The interview I am most curious about is scheduled to occur on Thursday, August 5 at 2PM/ET. Creme is going to be reappear on a radio show whose host was not buying into his gibberish about how the Jews are to blame for the Middle East's problems. Creme was being embarrassed so badly during the interview that something very strange happened.

• Without warning, Creme was suddenly disconnected and all the equipment in the radio station was paralyzed to the point where they could not go to commercial if they wanted to. It seemed something supernatural may have been going on when I listened to what was happening live. The full story of what happened is available at this link

The Greek Debt Song

My View on the Prospect for Us to Solve the World’s Problems

Someone wrote that all I do is present the problem but do not give any answers. The person stated that “it takes a real writer to provide for some definitive answers” to the problems I write about. The person ended their comment by stating that they would like to hear how to best deal with these problems, but I could not say that “Let God Take care Of it”. In response to this comment, I’ll give my view on how reasonable it is for us to solve the world’s problems.

There are a few things that I feel could help the world avoid many of the problems ahead:

• We could probably stem many of the disasters ahead if we could develop a new, clean, and free energy source that could completely replace liquid fuels (i.e. oil) immediately. A new, clean, and free energy source would completely transform the global economy, global politics, and the environment for the better.

• We could probably stem many of the disasters ahead if we invent a matter transporting machine that enabled us to move goods or ourselves from one location to another in a matter of seconds. The impact of a matter transporting machine would probably be similar to the introduction of the new, free, and clean energy source.

• The world could potentially avoid many of the economic and financial problems if all debt in the world was forgiven. This would eliminate one of the biggest problems that the world has today: too much debt.

Each of the items I listed above our pipedreams. The likelihood that any of these events occur before the world experiences a major time of turmoil is practically zero.

The world’s problems cover multiple areas. The world has major economic, financial, energy, environmental, political, and food issues that pose a serious threat to global stability. If we managed to completely address one of these problems we still would have to deal with other problems, which each alone is capable of bringing the world turmoil in the coming years. Thus, it is unlikely that we can avoid major turmoil ahead even if we were permitted by God to get ourselves out of the difficult situation we soon face.

Man cannot overrule God’s Will so there is nothing that can stop the Antichrist's rise to power when the Bible, which is the word of God, says that this will take place. As a consequence, certain events that pave the way for the rise of Antichrist practically cannot be stopped. We cannot stop an inevitable economic and financial collapse. We cannot stop an increase in the prevalence of wars and rumors of wars. We cannot stop an increase in global earthquake activity. etc. These events must take place whether we like them or not because they serve a purpose in God’s plan.

Perhaps I am not a “real writer” because I do not have real solutions to solve the world’s problems. However, I understand my limitations as a mortal human being knowing that I cannot solve problems that are prophesized to arise and eventually lead to the rise of Antichrist.

I am not saying that resistance is futile. Perhaps people’s efforts can slowdown the pace that events take place or perhaps even lessen the pain the world’s problems have on certain people, but in the end we are dealing God’s timetable. If He wants events to take place soon they will take place soon regardless of man’s best efforts and best intentions. The average person can make the most out of the tumultuous situation ahead if they spiritually and physically prepare themselves and the people they know for the challenges ahead.

Why a Long-Term Deflation is Unlikely in the U.S.

A couple of weeks ago Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke hinted to Congress that the Federal Reserve may engage in a second round of quantitative easing (money printing to buy debt) if the U.S. economy experiences a significant downturn.

• I am unsurprised that Bernanke is opened to engaging in a second round of quantitative easing because he has a reputation of being someone who will do anything to prevent a long-term deflation.

I believe a speech Bernanke gave back in 2002 is something that everyone should be aware of because it gives us insight into how Bernanke will deal with a new round of major economic and financial weakness in the U.S. I’ll share some of the salient excerpts of that speech with you in this blog post.

I believe the Federal Reserve will not permit a long-term deflation because they are afraid of its consequences. Americans have suffered a great amount of economic pain in the past couple of years. The Federal Reserve does not want to see the U.S.’s economic and financial situation to evolve into a repeat of the Great Depression where unemployment was sky high, poverty was great, and debt became harder to repay. Bernanke made it clear that he and the Fed would do whatever it takes to prevent a prolonged deflation in a speech that was fittingly entitled “Deflation: Making Sure ‘It’ Doesn't Happen Here”:

“I am confident that the Fed would take whatever means necessary to prevent significant deflation in the United States and, moreover, that the U.S. central bank, in cooperation with other parts of the government as needed, has sufficient policy instruments to ensure that any deflation that might occur would be both mild and brief”.[1]

Bernanke also discussed various ways the Fed could prevent prices from falling in the speech. The primary method Bernanke focused on was the creation of money:

“Like gold, U.S. dollars have value only to the extent that they are strictly limited in supply. But the U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press (or, today, its electronic equivalent), that allows it to produce as many U.S. dollars as it wishes at essentially no cost. By increasing the number of U.S. dollars in circulation, or even by credibly threatening to do so, the U.S. government can also reduce the value of a dollar in terms of goods and services, which is equivalent to raising the prices in dollars of those goods and services. We conclude that, under a paper-money system, a determined government can always generate higher spending and hence positive inflation”.[2]

A fully-determined and massive money printing campaign is capable of preventing any long-term price declines. However, while stopping prices from falling further, the Fed may provoke a major hyperinflation as citizens and foreigners witness the U.S. purposely and fully-determined to debase its currency. Although Bernanke has expressed some concern with the negative side effects of injecting a large dose of money into the U.S. economy; he made it known that these side effects will not deter him from turning on the printing press:

“One important concern in practice is that calibrating the economic effects of nonstandard means of injecting money may be difficult, given our relative lack of experience with such policies. Thus, as I have stressed already, prevention of deflation remains preferable to having to cure it. If we do fall into deflation, however, we can take comfort that the logic of the printing press example must assert itself, and sufficient injections of money will ultimately always reverse a deflation”.[3]

Given Bernanke’s power and determination to fight any long-term deflation, it is unlikely that there will be a sustained, long-term deflation in the U.S. while Bernanke remains Chairman of the Federal Reserve. This does not mean that the U.S. cannot experience deflationary periods that are quite painful. In fact, I believe it is likely that there is going to be some deflation ahead. However, I do not expect a deflationary period to last for a long-time because Bernanke and the Federal Reserve are willing and determined to print unlimited amounts of money to counteract deflation.

Joe Coleman Claims to be a “Light Worker”

It’s been awhile since I have written about Joe Coleman, a man who proclaims that he has received revelations from the Virgin Mary. I know some people who read this blog are followers of Coleman, so I think it is important to share some of my thoughts about some recent news that relate to Coleman. I’ll share my thoughts in this blog entry in hopes it might get some Coleman followers to reconsider their stance.

Coleman is selling the “revelations” that he received from the spiritual being he’s met on several occasions (I highly doubt it is the actual Virgin Mary) on Amazon UK. The book has a low customer review rating, but that is not the main reason why I mention the book. The main reason I mention the book is that it is alarming that Coleman would sell something that he proclaims is divine revelation. The Bible instructs those with “the truth” to not sell it.

• Pro 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

It is hard for me to believe that the Lord would give divine revelations to a person who would then take those revelations and sell them in a book.

RTE, an Irish television network, made a documentary about Joe Coleman. I have not seen the documentary since I do not have RTE, but an article about the documentary has a fairly startling quote from Coleman. Coleman proclaimed, ““I’m an authenticated seer of Our Lady. I don’t go near tarot cards or Ouija boards. I work with the light of God. I’m a light worker.”

“Light Worker” is a New Age term basically describing someone who works to help evolve people’s consciousness in preparation for the New Age. Coleman’s proclamation that he is a light worker should be a major red flag for any Christian who follows him because a person is unlikely going to use that term unless they have some knowledge of New Age spiritual beliefs. I’ve learned about the term from my research, but I would never claim that I was one or associate myself with the term like Coleman does. Coleman’s embracing of the role and title of “light worker” makes me wonder whether Coleman may have dabbled in some New Age spiritual practices

• I am not accusing Coleman of being a New Ager. I am just wondering how Coleman learned that term and why Coleman has embraced that term...

An Irish Times article suggests that Coleman’s following is shrinking, but there are still some hardcore followers. I hope these followers reconsider their stance on Coleman after these recent news events.

My View on the Potential for Babylon the Great to Represent America

Babylon the Great represents a false religious system and represents a geographic location. In terms of a geographic location, I know there’s some people who feel that Babylon the Great is America. I personally do not view Babylon the Great as America. In this blog entry I’ll briefly state the case why I do not see America as Babylon the Great.

I can see why some people would gravitate towards believing that Babylon the Great is somehow related to America.

• 1. You can argue that Babylon the Great is not the actual city of Babylon because the title “Mystery” in Babylon the Great’s title implies that a non-literal interpretation of the city’s identity may be necessary. In other words, “mystery” suggests that a person needs to look beyond the city of Babylon as a potential candidate to be Babylon the Great.

• 2. Babylon the Great is depicted as the global headquarters of economic activity (Revelation 18:11-16). The United States has been that since the end of World War 2.

• 3. Babylon the Great is also depicted as being the center of global political power. Again, the United States has been that since the end of World War 2 (Revelation 17:18).

However, scripture eliminates the possibility that Babylon the Great represents an entire country. Revelation 17:18 states Babylon the Great is a great city which rules over the kings of the earth.

• Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Therefore, if Babylon the Great is associated with the United States it must represent a city in the United States. The choice that many people point out is New York City. I can see why people would argue that it is New York City:

• The United Nations is headquartered in New York City
• New York City is the “financial capital of the world” as it is home to Wall Street.
• New York City is on the coast, which is important because sailors at sea will be able to see the smoke of Babylon the Great when it is destroyed (Revelation 18:17-18).

However, I do not view Babylon the Great as New York City because I do not believe the Antichrist’s base of power will be in New York City. As I wrote several weeks ago, I believe there is scriptural support to argue that Jerusalem is Babylon the Great. To quickly summarize that article for new readers, the basis to argue that Jerusalem is Babylon the Great rests on two key points:

• Revelation 17 depicts the woman (Babylon the Great city) riding on top of the beast (Antichrist), which suggests that the woman’s power is dependent on the beast. Daniel 11:45 suggests that the Antichrist will be primarily situated in Jerusalem because he will establish his headquarters “the seas in the glorious holy mountain”.

• Revelation 11:8 identifies Jerusalem as “the great city”, the same title given to Babylon the Great in Revelation 17:18.

Another reason why I do not see Babylon the Great representing New York City is that I believe world as we know it is about to experience a traumatic paradigm shift where the United States is no longer going to be a major world power.

• Although the U.S. may still be a global economic and political power right now, the U.S. is in such poor fiscal shape and has such poor leadership that it is highly unlikely to be able to sustain its status as a major global power for much longer. The imminent decline of the U.S.’s power is likely going to bring the decline of New York City as the financial capital of the world. In addition, I could easily see a situation where the U.N. relocates to a new city outside of the U.S. because New York City may become an unsafe place for global leaders to meet.

If Babylon the Great actually is New York City or some other American city it would mean that the America would fare fairly well in any upcoming chaos. Based on the horrid fiscal health of the United States and the incompetence of U.S. politicians it is extremely difficult to see how America could avoid a major decline in power.

I know some people feel that the prophecies concerning Babylon in passages like Jeremiah 50, 51, etc may apply to America or New York City. I feel the prophecies of Jeremiah 50, Jeremiah 51, Isaiah 13, etc deal with the territory that was part of the former kingdom of Babylon. They do not relate to Babylon the Great because the Bible specifically identifies “Babylon” in Jeremiah 50, Jeremiah 51, and Isaiah 13 as being related to the territory of the Chaldeans.

• Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

• Jer 50:8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.
• Jer 50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
• Jer 50:10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.

• Jer 51:1 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
• Jer 51:2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
• Jer 51:3 Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
• Jer 51:4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.
• Jer 51:5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
• Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

If the prophecies of Jeremiah 50, Jeremiah 51, Isaiah 13, etc related to America they would not have mentioned the Chaldeans like Revelation 17 and Revelation 18 do not mention the Chaldeans. Thus, spiritual Babylon is spoken about in the Book of Revelation while non-spiritual Babylon is primarily spoken about outside of the Book of Revelation.

The Puzzling Vision of Zechariah 5:5-11

Zechariah 5:5-11 is one of the most puzzling visions in the entire Bible. I used to search throughout the Internet for explanations that addressed the vision, but I often found that hardly anyone addressed it. The websites that recognized the vision explained the vision’s imaginary, but did not offer an explanation of the vision’s significance.

After several years of contemplating this vision I devised an explanation regarding the significance of Zechariah 5:5-11. Here is my explanation of this puzzling vision…

The vision opens with an angel showing Zechariah an ephah (a kind of basket) with a giant piece of lead above the ephah. Inside the ephah is a woman who is characterized as “wickedness” by the angel that accompanied Zechariah.

• Zec 5:5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
• Zec 5:6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
• Zec 5:7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
• Zec 5:8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

The vision becomes even more puzzling when Zechariah witnessed two-winged women take the ephah to the land of Shinar (the land of Babylon). Another consideration that makes the vision more puzzling is that I’ve read Bible commentators suggest that the two-winged women are also wicked entities. Thus, you have wicked creatures transporting a wicked entity to the land of Babylon.

• Zec 5:9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
• Zec 5:10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
• Zec 5:11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

Zechariah wrote this vision after the Jews were released from Babylonian captivity so it initially seems counterintuitive that a group of people would be brought back to the land of Babylon.

However, the idea that a wicked group of people could be sent to Babylon during the End Times does not seem impossible when you consider that Antichrist is likely going to scatter the Jews from Israel and is likely going to send them to places like the land of Babylon.

Recall that I wrote that Jeremiah 50 and Jeremiah 51 probably had End Times significance. In both Jeremiah 50 and Jeremiah 51 Jews located in Babylon are told repeatedly to flee from Babylon before it is destroyed:

• Jer 50:8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.
• Jer 50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

• Jer 51:5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
• Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

• Jer 51:45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
• Jer 51:46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

If Jeremiah 50 and Jeremiah 51 truly have End Times significance then the call for Jews to flee from Babylon implies that there are Jews in the land of Babylon during the End Times. This begs that question: “Why are there Jews in the land of Babylon during the End Times?”

I believe there is a lot of biblical evidence that Antichrist is going to have a concentration camp system throughout the Middle East, including one major concentration camp in the land of Babylon. The purpose of the Jews enduring the hardship of these camps is to purge the wicked elements of the Jewish people and to condition the surviving Jews to seek salvation.

Given my view that there is going to be a major End Times concentration camp in Babylon, the woman inside the ephah represents a “wicked” group of people from Israel that will be sent to Babylon during the End Times. Once in Babylon this group of people will undergo a purge. The survivors of the purge will return from Babylon to be saved…

This is just my interpretation of the vision. I am sure there are going to be people that will disagree with my interpretation because the meaning of the vision can easily be debated. Zechariah 5:5-11 is one of the most puzzling visions in the Bible after all.

Another Nasty Surprise Discovered in Recently Passed "Health Care" Reform

Today I read an article about a little known section in the health care reform bill that passed which will enable the U.S. government to track every gold transaction above $600 (which is half an ounce of gold at current prices) beginning in 2012. Gold dealers are fuming because they would be required to fill out paperwork (IRS Form 1099) for each transaction above $600 and gold investors are unhappy because they perceive these new rules as an increase in U.S. government’s intrusion in their private lives.

My understanding of the legislation is that the new reporting requirements affect more than just gold dealers. Small businesses apparently would also be subjected to the new reporting/tax requirements. Here is an article that discusses the impact of the new reporting/tax requirements on small businesses. The new reporting/tax requirements are toxic to the U.S. economy because they burden small businesses with a lot more time-consuming paperwork, which is costly to deal with.

• In fact, the National Association for the Self-Employed predicts that the average small business owner will have to file 1250% more forms than they currently do now.

In addition, the new tax/reporting requirements may represent a decrease in privacy because the government will learn a lot more about what kind of transactions are being made.

• Some people speculate that the new reporting/tax requirements are a prelude to a VAT Tax, which would be lethal to the U.S. economy.

The fact that lawmakers approved something like this without really knowing that this was in the health care reform legislation demonstrates how irresponsible they are. It is no wonder why so many Americans loathe Congress right now…

Overall, the new reporting/tax requirements represent another reason to believe that an economic depression that exceeds the Great Depression of the 1930s is inevitable in the U.S and another reason to believe that the political system in the U.S. is broken...

A Strange Encounter I Had A Few Years Ago…

A few years ago I had a strange encounter with an individual who was so strange that the encounter has been on my mind from time to time over the past few years. I thought I would share the story with you in case any of you has some insights or ideas about what happened to me.

A few years ago I stood alone at a light rail station waiting for the next train to come. I was not in a mood to talk because the train was late and I really wanted to go home. As I waited for the train to come this strange person walked up to me. The person had a skateboard and appeared to be near my age at the time. Even though he was much shorter than me (he was probably around 5’4” while I’m around 6’3”), he was not afraid to speak to me.

This strange individual told me that he possessed the power to “look inside” a person’s mind and use what they see in a person’s mind to state facts about them…it’s hard to explain, but it is more than the ability to read someone’s mind... After telling me about his so-called “abilities”, this strange individual asked me a few things that he thought was true about me. The things the guy said about me were untrue, so I began to believe that this guy was crazy. However, the guy surprised me by asking me if he could actually attempt to demonstrate to me his ability by “looking” into my mind. I thought this was the weirdest request that I had ever gotten. However, I felt I could relate to this individual because I felt that I had some quite unique abilities at that time (if I had done it over again I would have quickly rejected his request because allowing something like this to happen can be potentially dangerous. I had hardly any idea about what the forces of evil were capable of at that time...).

I told the guy that he could look into my mind once, but to make it quick, in a condescending tone. The guy began his procedure by telling me to stand still and to think about only one thing. When I told this strange guy that I was ready he began to stare at my head. During this strange time I was thinking about an anime character that was popular at the time.

A minute later the guy broke out from whatever trance-like state he was in and told me, “You like anime”. Although I was thinking about an anime character, I told him that I did not like anime in a demeaning tone (in actually I don’t care for anime at all so I technically wasn’t lying).

Moments later the light rail train arrived. As I prepared to board the train, this strange individual told me one last thing. The last thing this strange individual shouted, “I know what you were thinking!!! Next time, treat us with more respect!” in a commanding tone. As soon as I boarded the train I looked out the window to see if I could see this strange individual trying what he tried on me on other people. I knew he wasn’t on the train… However, when I looked out the window I was surprised to see that this strange individual had vanished.

As the train left the station I began to wonder if this person could actually see what I was thinking about. I was also perplexed by the last thing this guy said to me. “What did he mean by “Next time, treat us with more respect!” As I reflected upon what happened, I wondered if I had encountered an angel. Hebrews 13:1-2 tells us that people have unknowingly interacted with angels.

• Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
• Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

However, as I think back upon it, it seems harder to believe that I was dealing with a (good) angel. I doubt a good angel would want to look into someone’s mind as they should already know things about a person. This strange individual did get some facts wrong...

If anyone has any idea about what I dealt with please feel free to comment. I should mention that some spiritual events have taken place in my family before I was born which has led to me doing what I am doing now. Therefore, I would not be surprised if what I dealt with was actually something that was not human. Again, please feel free to comment.

Matt Simmons: Major Hurricane + Toxic Oil = Big Disaster in the Gulf

I have not written much about the BP Oil Spill because I saw little connection between this ongoing event and End Times prophecy. The BP Oil Spill is certainly a major environmental disaster, a disaster for those who are living on the Gulf Coast, an event that could impact the upcoming midterm elections in the U.S., and an event that will impact future American energy policy. However, I did not think it is an event that is more important than a likely major downturn in the global economy. The past couple of days, however, I have heard some information from an energy industry expert that is so alarming that I am compelled to share it with you in case you do live on the Gulf Coast or are following the BP Oil Spill closely.

Matt Simmons, author of Twilight in the Desert, expressed his concern late last week that many people could die as the result of a strong hurricane bringing up a large, growing layer of toxic oil that currently exists 4500 feet below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico. The toxic oil layer contains lethal levels of methane which would probably kill virtually any creature that encounters it.

• Hurricanes would have the potential to bring up a toxic oil layer to the surface because they are weather systems that churn up water. Hurricanes absorb heat from the surface and in the process cause the water below the surface to rise up towards the surface. Slow moving hurricanes tend to churn the water the most because they are absorbing the heat from the same area for a long period of time. A strong, slow moving hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico like a Katrina or Rita would be disastrous because it would bring that toxic oil from the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico up to the surface and potentially bring that toxic oil well into land with its massive storm surge.

Simmons also proclaimed that he would evacuate his family if he lived along the Gulf Coast because of the potential threat that this toxic oil could have if it was brought inland. You can access the entire interview with Simmons at the following link

• Whether you believe Matt Simmons is totally up to you. I am just informing people of his comments in case they have not heard them.

Currently there is a tropical wave north of Puerto Rico that has the potential to develop later this week into a tropical storm or hurricane. Although forecasting the intensity of tropical systems is very difficult to do, especially when trying to forecast the intensity of a storm several days from now, it is unlikely that it is going to be a storm that brings us a worst case scenario. However, the storm may cause some evacuations of people working on the oil spill because it is currently projected to be in the Gulf of Mexico this weekend potentially as a category one hurricane.

The concern is what may happen in August and September because that is the time of year when you get the strongest storms and the time of year when tropical waves are most prone to develop. Given the potential for a major loss of life, the BP Oil Spill certainly cannot be ignored nor can the weather.

Note to Congress: Extend Unemployment Insurance Today

Yoo hoo, Congress..... in case you haven't noticed 14 million out of work Americans have been holding their breaths waiting for you to pass the third extension of unemployment benefits since the economic meltdown began in 2008. It's on the Senate floor and the Senate should be voting on it today.  After a major Republican filibuster, it looks like the bill will pass.  Finally!!

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics:

"In June, the number of long-term unemployed(those jobless for 27 weeks and over)was unchanged at 6.8 million. These individuals made up 45.5 percent of unemployed persons."

 
 Get on with it and stop the theatrics, OK?  I am getting fed up with congressional gridlock.  You guys sit up there in Washington playing the angles while people are sleeping in their cars.  While we pour billions a day into your Republican wars, you are dithering over somebody who has been looking for a job for six months getting a few hundred dollars a month to keep body and soul together.This is not about the deficit. It is about politics.

Listen up, Republicans. I'm talking to YOU.  Your totally cynical,  fear-mongering performance on this issue is going to backfire on you bigtime. When you lose in November, don't say I didn't warn you. You guys better get over the 1970's "Welfare Queen" mentality.  These folks vote and  with unemployment at 10%, you just may be doing the Democrats a big big favor.  Do the math.

You are opposing an extension to unemployment on the grounds that it will encourage lazy people to loll around watching TV and not look for work. Are you crazy?  Have you noticed all the pictures of lines snaking around the block when Wal-Mart has three job openings?  Are you aware that in this downturn there are five applicants for every job available?  Do you know that for older workers and minorities the statiustics are even worse?

You say you are worried about the deficit   Well, all of us are worried about it. We all know that spending must be cut, but may I remind you that you Republicans created the deficit in the first place without a care for the future?  Where were your worries when the Bush Administration went to war in Iraq or pushed through Medicare Part D with no way to pay for it?  Or what about the fact that you want to make the Bush tax cuts for the  richest Americans permanent?

I know you want to go home and get re-elected and  your home-folks are worried about the deficit soooooo your political strategy is to deflect attention from where the real money is going  to the extension of unemployment so you can go home and tell them that YOU did your best to reign in those Liberals but they are just a bunch of socialists.

So go ahead-- scream and yell-- you know the extension is going to pass when it is voted on today. Everybody knows it.  Now,  you can still go home at election time and say you tried..

 I am sick of the cynicism. I am sick of the horse trading and earmarks.  I am sick of both sides of the aisle.  Get on with it, Congress.  Extend Unemployment Insurance today just because it is the right thing to do.

What I've Been Up to Lately and What I Have Planned This Week

I thought I'd share what I have been up to lately and what I have planned this week...

I have been working on completing my newest works for the past several days. My goal this week is to release the 2nd Edition of Prophecy Proof Insights of the Future and to release an executive summary of the book. The complete book is probably going to be around 320+ pages while the executive summary is likely going to be around 85 pages. I still have a few minor issues to work out with both, but at this point it is high likely both will be ready to access by Friday. Both at this point will be free to download, and I plan to post an announcement when they are both ready.

At some point this week I might share my thoughts on the vision of Zechariah 5:5-11. That vision is one of the most difficult visions to understand and to interpret. It stumped me for years, but recently I developed a theory about what the vision represents.

A Quick Assessment of the Current Financial Situation

On a day when stocks are declining I have a lot of thoughts that I would like to share about the current financial volatility and upheaval that has taken place in recent days and weeks.

Over the past few weeks the value of the Euro has rocketed from 1.19 up to 1.29 against the U.S. dollar. The primary reason for this sudden surge in the value of the Euro against the dollar is that investors no longer view the U.S. as a place that will withstand the problems in Europe. When the Euro was at 1.19 investors foolishly thought that the U.S. would be immune to the problems of Europe. Investors are now beginning to realize that the U.S. is also at risk of a major economic downturn.

• The latest ECRI which is a weekly leading indicator of U.S. economic activity fell from a -8.3 to a -9.8. This is very significant because a value of -10.0 virtually guarantees a recession that will be reflected in the U.S. government’s highly dubious data.

Yesterday I read a quote from David Bloom, the currency chief at HSBC, which I feel does a good job summarizing the situation and explains why there has been so much volatility in the financial markets recently. Bloom said:

"We're in a world of rotating sovereign crises. The market seems to become obsessed with one idea at a time, then violently swings towards another. People thought the euro would break-up. Now we're moving into a new phase because we're hearing alarm bells of a US double dip."

I get the sense from everything I read and from indicators like the ECRI that the global economic and financial system is weakening. As the global economic and financial system weakens investors are moving their money to where they perceive to be a place of relative safety. However, there are few safe places to put one’s money in the long-run as the global economic and financial system is in major trouble.

Perhaps the next trouble will come in the U.S. municipal bond market (the market for bonds issued by state and local governments in the U.S.). Right now state and local governments are experiencing major fiscal problems as the tax revenue they are taking in is not nearly enough to cover their spending plans and are facing a looming problem with underfunded pensions. The credit ratings of many municipal bonds are ridiculously high as the same credit rating agencies who told us that toxic real estate investments were risk-free bets back in 2007 now claim that there is not going to be a major problem in the municipal bond market.

The state of Illinois, who has not been paying its bills and is in complete disarray, has a credit rating several notches above “junk” status (A1 by Moody’s). With an A1 credit rating, the cost to buy insurance to protect oneself against the possibility of default by the state of Illinois should theoretically be low. However, the cost to buy insurance to protect oneself from the possibility of default by Illinois is currently higher than the cost to buy insurance to protect oneself from the possibility of default by Iceland, whose credit rating is virtually “junk” status, whose economy has collapsed, whose currency has collapsed, and is experiencing a depression!

There is a major disconnect between what the credit rating agencies say and what is actually going on in the municipal bond market. Given the poor track record of the credit rating agencies, I suspect we will begin to hear a lot more about the problems in the municipal bond market soon. When the majority of investors realize the problems of the municipal bond market I wonder where investors will turn for safety…

Obama Normally has Creme's Vote: July/Aug Share Intl Review

The July/August edition of Benjamin Creme’s (the official spokesmen of Maitreya, the leader of the Ascended Masters-a group of beings referred to as the “spiritual wickedness in high places” in Ephesians 6:12) magazine was released a couple of days ago. As usual, I provide a review of the magazine so that you are aware of what kinds of things Creme has said lately. This month’s edition is quite long because there is not going to be a new edition until September.

The Ascended Master that advises Creme had an article about the need for the world to unite together. The article is an example of how Satan and his minions can be wolves in sheep’s clothing. They present a message of peace; claiming that they only want to help people by bringing the world together. What they do not tell you is that they want a one-world economic system, government, religion, etc so they can have control over people and to wipe out Christianity and Judaism from the earth.

Creme discussed the “need” to transform the world’s economic system so that it would be 30% Capitalism and 70% Socialism. This is something that Creme has preached for many years. However, it is ridiculous that Creme continues to claim that the U.S. is 95% Capitalist and 5% Socialist even after over 18 months of Barack Obama imposing policies that are not exactly pro-Capitalism. If Creme considers Obama’s America to be 95% Capitalist and 5% Socialist then his ideal system probably resembles Communism more than an actual 30% Capitalist and 70% Socialist balance.

Creme also hinted where he stands politically by stating that although he did not agree with Barack Obama's handling of the BP situation he does normally has his vote. If I am Obama I would not want Creme to be endorsing me...

Creme also gave his thoughts about the Israel vs. Turkey dispute. As expected, Creme sided against Israel and encouraged the U.S. to push Israel towards ending the blockade and ending its supposed “oppression” against the Palestinians.

For those of you following the alleged Maitreya television tour Creme now states that he has allegedly given 18 interviews on American television (up from 16 on June 12).

This edition had a lot about the Star Sign and the spirals that have appeared over Norway and Australia earlier this year. Of course, Creme claims that all strange phenomena in the sky are inspired by the UFOs that are behind the Star Sign. I would not doubt that UFOs could be behind some strange phenomena in the sky since Satan is “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:1-3). He would have some say about what appears in the sky…

Overall, there was nothing Earth-shattering about the July/August edition of Creme’s magazine. I suspect the real news will be made when Creme visits American in the later part of this month.

Do the Prophecies Concerning Babylon Have End Times Application?

Yesterday I discussed how I wondered whether the prophecies of Nineveh and the Book of Nahum were completely fulfilled yet. I referenced an End Times-related prophecy in Zephaniah 2 where Nineveh is mentioned to suggest that we may not have seen the fulfillment of all the prophecies concerning Nineveh yet. Today I want to focus on the prophecies concerning Babylon because I have heard some people state that all the prophecies concerning Babylon have been fulfilled.

I do not believe that we have yet to see the complete fulfillment of all the prophecies concerning Babylon for a couple of reasons:

1. Daniel 7:12 mentions that three beasts: the Babylonian Empire, the Persian Empire, and the Greek Empire would be permitted to live even though they may not be powerful empires anymore for a limited period of time (most likely until the destruction of the fourth beast).

• Dan 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

This suggests that Babylon cannot be written off yet as a player during the End Times.

2. Isaiah 13 indicates that the actual destruction of Babylon will take place during the Day of the Lord, which a time period that takes place in the future.

• Isa 13:1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
• Isa 13:2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
• Isa 13:3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
• Isa 13:4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
• Isa 13:5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
• Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

…

• Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

…

• Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
• Isa 13:20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.
• Isa 13:21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
• Isa 13:22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

The final destruction of Babylon taking place during the Day of the Lord has major implications about the relevancy of other prophetic chapters of the Bible. For instance, Jeremiah 50 and Jeremiah 51, which concern the destruction of Babylon, transform from chapters concerning the past destruction of Ancient Babylon into chapters that also have some relevance to the future destruction of Babylon. As an example, you can see the parallel between Babylon’s destruction in Isaiah 13 and Babylon’s destruction in Jeremiah 50:38-40:

• Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

• Jer 50:38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.
• Jer 50:39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
• Jer 50:40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

However, this does not mean that every prophecy concerning Babylon will be fulfilled during the End Times. Many of the prophecies about Babylon concern its destruction in biblical times. Here is a short list of chapters concerning Babylon that may have relevancy to End Times prophecy (it is important to note that this is not a complete list of chapters)

• Isaiah 11
• Isaiah 13
• Isaiah 14
• Isaiah 21
• Isaiah 47
• Isaiah 48
• Jeremiah 46 (pay attention to verse 10)
• Jeremiah 50
• Jeremiah 51
• Zechariah 5:6-11
• Micah 4

Do the Prophecies Concerning Nineveh Have End Times Application?

I do not see a lot of people talk about the Book of Nahum and the prophecies of Nineveh when it concerns their relevance to Bible prophecy. My old NIV Bible (before I stopped using it) said that the prophecies of the Book of Nahum were already fulfilled with the destruction of Nineveh back in 612 B.C. I am not so sure if the prophecies concerning Nahum and Nineveh are completely fulfilled yet when I look at one key End Times-related chapter in the Bible.

I question whether the prophecies of Nahum and Nineveh have been completely fulfilled yet when I read Zephaniah 2:13-15 since Zephaniah 2 concerns the Day of the Lord, which takes place during the End Times.

• Zep 2:1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
• Zep 2:2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you

...

• Zep 2:13 And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.
• Zep 2:14 And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the cedar work.
• Zep 2:15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Perhaps the prophecies of the Book of Nahum have an application to the past and an application to the future as well. I would not be so quick to write off the relevance of the Book of Nahum and the prophecies of Nineveh to End Times Bible prophecy as some Bible commentators have.

• The site of the ruins of ancient Nineveh is a part of the Mosul metropolitan area. Perhaps Zephaniah 2 refers to the destruction of Mosul, Iraq during the Day of the Lord…

I am not 100% sure about whether the prophecies of the Book of Nahum and Nineveh have End Times applications yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to share this perspective in case it stimulates some new ideas in someone who reads about this perspective or gets someone who knows a lot more about this topic than me to comment.

Food For Thought from E.B. White

With tip of the hat to The Daily Dorkmonger ( a blog I read regularly and recommend highly) I offer you some food for thought in the form of a fabulous, thought provoking quote from E.B. White. To wit:

"It is easier for a man to be loyal to his club than to his
planet; the bylaws are shorter, and he is personally
acquainted with the other members." — E. B. White, 1899 - 1985.

In case you are a bit fuzzy on E.B. White, he was a formidable literary figure of the last century-- writer and editor at the old New Yorker Magazine, author not only of  The Elements of Style,( which is where I first encountered him years ago in my early writing career) but also of numerous essays and the classic children's books, Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web.

Clearly, he was also a keen observer of human behavior.I can't help but think of how appropriate this quote is today, especially in the light of a Congress that is in the pocket of big oil, and  a world wide corporate culture of greed.E.B. makes a good point. Time for all of us us to  think more about the planet and less about the club

Germany Plots to Bring us the “Berlin Club”

I wrote a couple of months ago that it was important to watch the ongoing fiscal crisis in Europe for signs that the European Union is heading towards political union. Today there is a German newspaper report about how Germany is secretly devising plans to create an institution called the Berlin Club which if implemented may be a step towards political union.

Germans are tired of having to makeup the rules as they go to deal with countries with fiscal problems like Greece and tired of carrying the burden of bailouts. In response, German government officials are devising a plan to create a process that they hope fiscally-strained countries can go through to take care of their problems. The creation of the Berlin Club would be the centerpiece of the plan to come up with a process.

• According to the article, the Berlin Club would be an institution which would have the power to regulate how European countries who declare bankruptcy spend their money. This power would effectively enable the institution to have some control over the affairs of countries and would represent a loss of sovereignty for countries that become subject to the Berlin Club’s rules.

A major risk of having rules to seize the fiscal sovereignty of countries is that it may be seen as a too high of price for some countries to pay. Some countries may see dropping the Euro and reverting back to their national currency as a lesser price to pay since they do not have to surrender the fate of their country to an outside institution. Thus, the German’s plans could potentially be a step closer to political union in Europe or a step closure to fracturing the European Union.

The plan is still being developed by Germany, but the newspaper article suggests that Germany’s secret plans could lead to a European Union-wide institution instead of an institution whose primary constituents would be Germany and whoever else Germany wants to invite to be members of the club.

An Update About Creme

I know many people read this blog looking for new information about Benjamin Creme, the official spokesmen of Maitreya (the leader of the Ascended Masters, a group of spiritual beings described by Paul in Ephesians 6:12 as the “spiritual wickedness in high places”). It has been awhile since I have written about Creme so it is probably a good time to provide people an update about Creme’s activities.

It appears that Creme has dramatically cut back on media appearances over the past few months. I am not sure why Creme has granted fewer interviews over the past few months. Perhaps Creme is just too busy with his work, is being slowed by his old age/health, a combination of the two, or something else. Creme did make a brief appearance on a small Massachusetts community radio station on July 7. Unfortunately, I did not learn about the interview until the evening of the 7th so I do not know what happened.

Creme is visiting America later this month to speak to people about Maitreya, the Ascended Masters, and the coming New Age. Creme is visiting the cities that I imagine would be the most open to hearing his message: New York, Los Angeles, (and the obvious city) San Francisco. I do not plan to attend any of Creme’s lectures because the hassle of travelling to these cities is not worth it and it is a very high-risk proposition for a Christian to attend this type of event. I’m sure someone will have an account of what actually transpires at one of Creme’s lectures so we have an idea of what Creme said. It is also likely that the local media will cover Creme’s visit and portray his crusade in a positive light.

Creme will have a new book about the spiritual mission of UFOs later this month. I would not be surprised if Creme began to make more media appearances to promote the book like most authors tend to do.

Beyond that I do not have much else information about Creme’s recent activities. Perhaps this is the calm before the storm considering that Creme is visiting America this month.

The Flaming Mountain into the Sea: The Second Trumpet

Last night I was listening to my radio while I trying to figure out what I was going to write today for the blog. The host of the radio program I listened to was interviewing a “prophecy expert” about current events including the Gulf Oil Spill. The guest proclaimed his belief that prophecies inside and outside the Bible accounted for the Gulf Oil Spill. The guest literally had me cringing when he suggested that the prophecies concerning the second trumpet of the Book of Revelation may be linked to the Gulf Oil Spill (a suggestion like that makes me wonder how a person earns the title “prophecy expert”).

The idea that the explosion of the BP deepwater oil rig fulfils the description of the second trumpet seems preposterous to me. Instead of ranting about how some “prophecy experts” often overestimate the importance current events, I’ll tell you what I think is the entity that is likely going to fulfill the second trumpet in this blog post.

Revelation 8:8-9 describe a burning mountain falling into the sea. The result is massive destruction and massive loss of life.

• Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
• Rev 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

The description of a burning mountain collapsing into the sea sounds like a description of a volcano collapsing into the sea as volcanoes can easily be described as “burning mountains”. The impact of the burning mountain’s collapse has wide-scale impact-likely over a large geographic area since 1/3 of the world’s ships are destroyed from its collapse.

• There is no mountain large enough to destroy 1/3 of the world’s ships by just crashing into them. However, the tsunami a collapsing mountain could cause would have the potential to create massive destruction over a large area beyond the site of the collapse.

I believe that the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands) is likely going to be the burning mountain that falls into the sea.

• Geologists found that the western flank of the Cumbre Vieja is ready to collapse into the Atlantic Ocean during its next big eruption. Geologists’ computer models and experiments estimate that the collapse of the Cumbre Vieja’s western flank into the Atlantic Ocean would unleash a monster mega-tsunami that would devastate a huge swath of the Atlantic coastline, including the entire U.S. eastern seaboard.[1] There would be catastrophic destruction to shipping and coastlines in wake of the tsunami and a tremendous loss of life.

Fortunately, I do not believe any of us will be around to see the mega-tsunami that would be triggered from the collapse of the Cumbre Vieja. However, it is important to be aware of the Cumbre Vieja just in case I am wrong and it collapses before the sounding of the second trumpet.

The Mirage of U.S. Economic Strength

Last year I posted a blog entry about how the U.S. government grossly understates how bad of shape the U.S. economy really is. With U.S. politicians like Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden proclaiming that the U.S. is experiencing “recovery summer” I thought it would be a good idea to review what the economic situation is really like in the U.S.. Most people do not believe what politicians have to say, but it’s good to have an idea of how much discrepancy there is between what politicians portray and what reality actually is.

Last week the U.S. government claimed that the unemployment rate fell from 9.7% to 9.5%. This 9.5% rate does not take into account a very important group of people: those who have given up looking for work because they cannot find a job. Growth in this unaccounted category of people had a major impact on the unemployment rate reported by the U.S. government as an estimated 652,000 Americans gave up looking for work in the month of June.

Economist John Williams, who specializes in exposing how manipulated U.S. economic data is, estimates that the true unemployment rate is closer to 21.6% (SGS Alternative) which would put the U.S. at par with Spain, a country that is in serious trouble. The following chart illustrates how understated the U.S.’s unemployment problem is:

The U.S. government is also guilty of understating the rise in consumer prices. The reason the U.S. government has incentive to understate the rise in consumer prices is so they can limit the cost of living pay increases (COLAs) that they give to certain Americans each year. The following chart shows that there is a major discrepancy between what the U.S. government reports and what Williams’ reports (which is the way the U.S. government used to measure the change in consumer prices before the Clinton Administration changed it).

As a consequence of understating the rise in consumer prices, the U.S. government ends up always overstating the level of economic growth (Change in Real GDP = Change in Nominal GDP divided by Change in Prices). Williams’ work indicates that GDP, the main measure of economic growth, may be significantly overstated.

If Williams’ numbers are truly accurate then the idea of there being a “jobless recovery” in the U.S. is a myth since there is not a recovery (we have negative changes in GDP). The chart above suggests that the U.S. economy is still in recession albeit the rate of decline was slowing up until now.

Overall, the U.S. economy is not nearly as strong as American politicians claim or the media portrays it to be. There may, in fact, be a huge discrepancy between myth and reality, a discrepancy so large that the idea that the U.S. is experiencing a jobless recovery may be a complete myth.

I suspect that the U.S. government may eventually report that the U.S. economy is in recession again as U.S. economy weakens. The issue though is that when the U.S. government reports that the economy is experiencing a recession the reality may be that the U.S. economy is experiencing a depression.

 Yesterday YouTube announced something really special-- something that does more than put the social in social media or the activity in interactive.  Life in A Day  is a historic milestone in bringing people closer together and helping us all to recognize our shared humanity. 

 Hollywood directors Kevin Macdonald and Ridley Scott will partner with 6.7 YouTube viewers to produce a full length documentary featuring videos shot by YouTube members around the world.... inclluding YOU. The finished documentary will debut at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival .  How cool is that?

I'd say it makes a nice change from celebrity gossip, dancing dogs and singing birds.It's about time we harnessed the power of YouTube to change the world.

Ominous Developments in 2010 BP Statistical Review

Back in June BP (the same company that is being blamed for that oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico) released its annual statistical review of world energy. The report is highly anticipated by the energy industry, energy investors, and energy analysts because it contains data about the supply, demand, and availability of various energy sources like crude oil, natural gas, coal etc.

The 2010 edition of the BP Statistical Review contains some alarming data about the world’s future ability to meet oil demand. In this blog post I will highlight some of the alarming developments found in this report.

The first alarming item is found in BP’s data about global oil production. Global oil production declined substantially in 2009, including a major drop in OPEC countries, the world’s main oil producing countries. Figure 1 illustrates the change in global oil production around the world:

It’s a startling development because there are several prominent people within the oil industry along with the U.S. military that believe the world’s ability to produce more oil beyond what it produces now has peaked or will soon peak for good.

• Oil is the lifeblood of the global economy. The global economy cannot grow much further without an increase in global oil supply.

The oil production picture is more ominous when you look at the change in production of individual Middle Eastern countries. Some of the world’s premiere oil producers like Kuwait, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia experienced declining oil output in 2009. Figure 2 illustrates this development:

A development like this is unlikely due to these countries just deciding to produce less oil. Each of these countries possesses major oilfields that are dying. Many within the oil industry expect this downtrend in oil production to accelerate in the future as these countries’ oilfields produce less oil as time progresses.

Finally, the other alarming development is that oil consumption in several major oil producing Middle Eastern countries is rising quickly. Figure 3 illustrates the change in oil consumption in several Middle Eastern countries in 2009.

The reason this development is cause for concern is that increased oil consumption in these Middle Eastern countries means that there will be less oil available for these countries to export to other countries. Even if global oil production were to resume growing (which is a big IF) oil prices would still rise because there would be less oil available for a country like the U.S. and China to import into their own countries.

The world is in an extremely difficult situation. The global economic and financial system is likely going to collapse from the weight of burdensome debt and political mismanagement. However, even if the world managed to overcome these obstacles it would still face an economic financial collapse because there is unlikely going to be enough oil to sustain any significant long-term economic growth. In fact, it is likely that there may not be enough oil to sustain current levels of economic activity in the long-term. In the end, the global economic and financial system is going to collapse one way or another.

Bible Exclusive Research Reports Now Available

Over the weekend I worked on updating my main website with some new content. After a lot of work, I now offer Bible prophecy exclusive versions of many research reports that are featured at my main website. These Bible prophecy exclusive reports are designed for people who are uncomfortable with the New Age sources I sometimes mention and people who prefer to rely solely on the inerrancy of the Bible to get their information instead of sources that are not always believable to say the least.

Most of the Bible prophecy exclusive reports are similar to the original reports in terms of the main ideas conveyed. However, in some cases you can see how much more detail I can describe things when I use more than the Bible to describe future events. Nevertheless, the Bible is the most important thing people need to look at when trying to understand the future. Without having knowledge of the Bible first, one’s ability to forecast long-term, future events is severely limited.

Over the past several days I also significantly revised many of the original reports, so if you are a person who looked at/downloaded some of my original reports you may want to take another look at them again. You can find the research reports at the following link.

The Public’s Obsession with Vampires Renewed

Twilight: Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight Saga is finally in theaters. Eclipse is projected to make ridiculous amounts of money this weekend and already has made a lot of money in its first few days in theaters. The movie probably is not only going to make a lot of money for Stephenie Meyer and those associated with making the movie but also rekindle the public’s recent obsession with vampires...

Before Twilight became popular I often surveyed the book section at my local Sam’s Club to see what kind of books they sold. Many of the books they sold were your typical selection of romance, non-fiction, adventure, and religious books. Since Twilight became popular most of the books I see at my Sam’s Club book section are now vampire books. I realized that vampires were becoming a popular cultural phenomenon when I saw this development, but what I have seen in recent months is far beyond what I initially expected.

This vampire love fest is getting startling.

• In recent months I learned that people have taken literary classics like Jane Eyre and have rewritten them so that vampires can be a part of the story. Jane Slayre, the vampire-ized version of Jane Eyre, actually has a lot of readers.

• I visited my old school’s bookstore this past April and noticed that they had copies of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter positioned next to Twilight: New Moon on the bookshelf. The whole idea that Abraham Lincoln would be hunting vampires is completely ridiculous, but apparently it is a best-seller.

• A report back in April noted that vampire books were outselling the Bible in Australia.

It’s probably not going to be long before we see a new Bible version that incorporates vampires in place of Bible personalities like Moses, Joshua, John the Baptist, and perhaps even Paul with the way things are going (perhaps it will be called the NVV: “The New Vampire Version”). I’m sure at least a few Christians who are mesmerized by vampires would jump at the opportunity to read about how “Moses the Vampire” parted the Sea of Reeds with the stake that the Pharaoh tried to drive into his heart.

I am convinced there is something sinister behind Twilight and the vampire love fest. I think it is a good time to post a link to my old article about what may be behind the Twilight craze since a new Twilight movie is in theaters: Link

In case you are wondering, I have no plans to see any Twilight movie or read any Twilight books this weekend. Instead I’ll be hunting vampires (just kidding).
